HYBRID Sr. Contracts Specialist (Active Secret Clearance Required)- Arlington VA - Zachary Piper LLC

Zachary Piper Solutions seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Specialist with a Secret (or higher) clearance to join a government contracting team in Virginia for a hybrid (1 day/ week) work opportunity. The Contracts Specialist will be supporting a CMO for Research and Development efforts.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee the full lifecycle of contracts, from negotiation to execution and closeout.

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure contractual compliance and mitigate risks.

- Conduct thorough reviews of contract terms and conditions, identifying potential issues and proposing solutions.

- Interface with government agencies and other external partners to facilitate effective communication and resolution of contractual matters.

- Prepare and submit contract deliverables in accordance with established timelines.

- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to contract management.

Requirements:

- Active Secret government security clearance.

- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Law, or a related field.

-10+ years of experience in contracting/ acquisitions with the DoD

- Proven experience in contract management with government contracts

-Experience using DoD, Procurement Desktop Defense (PD2) contractual software

- Familiarity with federal acquisition regulations (FAR) and other relevant procurement policies.

- Strong negotiation and communication skills.

- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously

Desired:

-Experie4nce with Part 35 – Research and Development Contracting

Experience with Non-FAR based instruments such as OTA, Grants, and Cooperative Agreements

-been in a Contracting Officer role prior

Compensation:

Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per year **depending on experience**

Location: Arlington, Virginia (1 day/ week onsite)- near Ballston Metro stop

Job Type: Full-Time
