As a Hydraulics/Process Engineer (E2) at Water Works Engineers, your role will be pivotal in shaping our water infrastructure projects. You will bring technical expertise to ensure that hydraulic and mechanical systems are designed efficiently and sustainably, contributing to the overall success of our projects. By collaborating closely with Project Managers and other team members, you will help us deliver high-quality water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, and treatment facilities that meet and exceed industry standards. This role will allow you to further develop your technical skills while significantly impacting the future of water infrastructure.
Your daily impact:
- Assist in planning and developing hydraulic and mechanical process systems for infrastructure projects, focusing on water resources.
- Perform calculations and simulations to design hydraulic systems, pumps, and water treatment processes.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, plans, and specifications for hydraulic and mechanical systems.
- Develop cost estimates to ensure the financial feasibility of projects.
- Review construction submittals and ensure they meet project specifications and industry standards.
- Conduct field inspections to assess project progress and compliance under the supervision of a Project Manager.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful delivery, including coordination with other engineering disciplines.
- Ensure all projects comply with industry standards, codes, contracts, drawings, specifications, safety standards, and pollution prevention plan requirements.
- Provide input on new projects, contributing to long-term planning and strategy.
What you bring to the table:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited engineering program.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required or within six (6) months of hire.
- 3-7 years of experience in hydraulic and mechanical process engineering, focusing on civil engineering and municipal water/wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in CADD software (AutoCAD, Revit) is a plus.
- Proficiency in GIS-based hydraulic modeling programs such as Innovyze is a plus.
- Experience with structural concrete principles and their application to hydraulic and mechanical systems is a plus.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to perform both office and field work as needed.

Competitive salary commensurate with experience, ranging from $90,000 to $120,000, with a 10-20% bonus paid annually, based on qualifications.
