JOB SUMMARY:
The Hydraulics Service Technician is responsible to inspect hydraulic pumps, motors, and valves for the purpose of rebuild/repair
The successful Hydraulics Service Technician will have knowledge of internal and external parts of hydraulic components and be familiar with how they work and operate as well as having knowledge of proper testing procedures
The candidate will be responsible for the inspection of hydraulic pumps, motors, valves and providing repair solutions
The candidate is responsible to provide a list of necessary parts required to repair the component utilizing the shop software and creating routing for each repair to schedule
The individual will have to use various catalogs and online tools to create a parts list for the repairs
COMPETENCIES:
Individual must be a self-starter and work well on their own
Must have strong attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, required with internal and external customers
Must be competent in the use of wrenches, air tools, torque wrenches, and hydraulically operated equipment such as shop press/power pack
As well as have ability to read mics, gauges, measuring tools, and work from blueprints
Must own measuring tool (0’-6”), and hand tools.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Two plus years of experience with hydraulic-controlled components
Strong mechanical aptitude
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Lifting/Carrying 40 lb
Lift/Carry and 50lb pull
Standing/Sitting Up and downstairs, standing, sitting, and climbing into machines
Dexterity Normal
Repetitive Motions Frequent movement requiring hands, wrists, and fingers
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible
