About the Job
Optimized Process Designs, LLC is seeking an Associate I&E Designer for our location in Katy, TX. The Associate I&E Designer will be responsible for actively participating in the development of I&E design deliverables across a range of EPC projects. Operating under the broad direction from the Senior Designers, you will provide the required technical knowledge to help develop I&E design scope, from early conception through final delivery.

What You Will Do
- Establish and maintain a "safety first" culture.
- Develop a safe and cost-efficient design that adheres to client specifications, national codes, and industry standards.
- The ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
- With guidance from Senior Designers, help to develop typical I&E design deliverables such as one-lines, schematics, wiring diagrams, interconnects, panel schedules, cable schedules, block diagrams, hazardous area classification drawings, plan drawings, etc.
- The ability to work independently and/or within a team of designers, on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Maintaining consistency and work with department process, tools, and standards.
- The ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other consultants
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Past experience directly related with detailed design of I&E systems.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, and Microsoft office software systems
What Will Put You Ahead
- Accredited two (2) year degree or global equivalent in technical field of study.
- Working knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code)
- Working knowledge of 3D software such as CADWorx.
- Practical field/construction experience.
- Previous experience with Bluebeam software
