About the Job
Independent Association of Accredited Registrars (IAAR) promotes accredited management system certification, working with industry groups, government agencies and other organizations to provide guidance on the appropriate use of international standards, the accreditation and certification process, and reliance on accredited certification bodies to determine whether organizations comply with various international and US standards.
IAAR members' clients represent nearly all service and industry sectors with sizes ranging from a handful of employees to multinational corporations. These clients benefit from accredited certification to quality, environmental, and health and safety management system standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, AS9100, ISO 27001, ISO 13485, ISO 22000 and many others.
IAAR is seeking an Executive Director to facilitate the on-going day-to-day activities of the Association. The responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
Responsibilities:
Advise the IAAR Board on matters pertaining to association business.
Make all arrangements for and notifying members of Association meetings.
Conduct correspondence on behalf of the Association.
Represent the Association at external events and meetings both domestic and international as requested.
Facilitate delivery of training materials as directed by the Board, Committees, and Task Forces.
Attendance and, as required, participation in all Board and Member meetings, and, as required, committee meetings.
Maintain the Association's web page.
Collection of fees, annual dues and subscriptions
Preparation of quarterly financial statements, annual budget, and reports of the transactions and financial condition of the Association.
Executing all activities associated with election of Officers and Board Chairs.
Execution of all orders, votes and resolutions not otherwise committed.
Managing all association contracts, agreements and transactions negotiated with members and/or external parties/bodies.

Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's and/or master's degree in business administration, finance, or related field (preferred).
Minimum of 10 years' experience in a leadership of people role (direct-line reports) or equivalent while positively influencing behaviors that align to organizational culture.
Preferred experience in the testing, inspection, certification, and compliance industry.
Understanding of fundamentals of conformity assessment business.
Experience in association management a plus.
Manages self and relationships with association members and business partners.
Delivers strategies for association development, revenue growth, marketing, and communication with input into the board for overall purpose and strategy.
Ability to occasionally travel (domestically and internationally) to association meetings and industry events.
Highly proficient and accurate in the use of technology including Microsoft Office products.
Exceptional listening, verbal and written communication skills.
Highly efficient in time management and organization skills.
Self-motivated with ability to consistently execute, learn and improve.
