Responsibilities to Anticipate:

The Section Leader will perform day-to-day management of a group of multi-disciplinary system engineers, with the primary responsibility of ensuring that each employee has suitable work assignments and opportunities for growth and advancement. Management duties include performance development and appraisal, salary planning, manpower planning, career coaching, and ensuring adherence to company policies. Candidates will contribute to the technical oversight of employees, monitor program execution, and provide radar system subject matter expertise in direct support of program efforts and proposal activities.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 10 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and 7 years of prior relevant experience. In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required.

Experience in empowering employees, leading and motivating teams, and fostering collaboration

Proven ability to manage multiple and competing priorities

The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Value:

Advanced degree in EE, CE, Physics, Math, ME, Aerospace

Knowledge of radar systems

Prior experience in a functional or leadership role

Proven ability and strong desire to facilitate career growth and knowledge transfer

Strong communication, interpersonal, and decision making skills

Proven track record of effectively interacting with subordinates, customers, and other organizations and disciplines

Existing DoD Security Clearance

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
