Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Specific duties of this position may include (but are not limited to) the following:
IBM Guardium Subject Matter Expert (85%)
- Create and execute a comprehensive project plan for the deployment of the IBM Guardium solution
- Lead all aspects of the installation, deployment, and configuration of the solution
- Work closely with IBM and internal teams to understand customer business requirements and provide Guardium expertise in helping to design, configure, and test the delivered solution
- Setup database monitoring, log management, tracking metrics, health checks, real-time anomaly detection, reporting, and alerting
- Work with IBM professional services and IBM Guardium support as required
- Function as the IBM Guardium subject matter expert and support all aspects of the solution
- Develop future expansion plans to include coverage for DB2 on AIX, Microsoft SQL, and Microsoft SharePoint
- Operational ownership of Guardium platform, related infrastructure and processes ensuring all are compliant with the agency's security policies and standards
- Provide knowledge transfer and transition ongoing support to other Network Security Team members
Required Skills and Experience

- Experience with deploying Guardium on IBM mainframes running DB2 databases is required
- Knowledge of and hands-on experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) language
- Understanding network and product software security concepts
- Knowledge and experience with enterprise architectures
- High level communication skills are essential to successfully translate technology and security requirements into business terms
- Effective skills with time management, prioritization, and attention to detail
- Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking, and organizational skills
- Possess a high level of integrity and ethics
Desired Skills and Experience
- IBM Guardium certification
- Knowledge of and experience with encryption protocols

- Monitors current and future trends, technology and information that will positively affect organizational projects. Applies and integrates emerging technological trends to new and existing systems architecture.
- Mentors team members in relevant technologies and implementation architecture
- Develops, documents and ensures compliance with best practices including but not limited to the following coding standards, object oriented designs, platform and framework specific design
- Work with Developers and Architects to develop detailed designs and write code.
- Support an internal team of developers, designers and test engineers.
- Support Business Partners, Requirements, System Testing, and Production Support teams
- Contributes in other technical capacities as required
- Excellent communication skills
- 8+ years software development experience
- 5+ years' experience using Microsoft .Net technologies
- 3+ years developing enterprise scale web applications
- 1+ years as a lead developer within an agile team
- Understanding of the role of a Scrum Master (experience in role preferred)
- Proficient with data and modeling in the .NET Framework, especially regarding communication services (LINQ, WCF, XML, rest)
- Experience leading complex web projects in a corporate environment
- Strong experience with AJAX, JQuery
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Design Patterns
- Strong SQL Server experience
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Excellent skills in emotional intelligence, influencing, and persuasion with individual and group stakeholders.
- Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Experience in Cable / Telecom is a plus.
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related disciplines; extensive, directly-related experience may be considered in-lieu of degree(s).
