Ideate - Skilled Construction Labor (Framing/Weatherproofing/Stucco/Lath) - San Diego Human Resources Consulting, Inc

Key Responsibilities

• Perform tasks involving physical labor at construction sites, including (but not limited to) site preparation, controlled demolition, carpentry, waterproo?ng, painting, masonry, concrete, removing and reinstalling doors, stucco, drywall, welding, etc.
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship and quality in all tasks performed.
• Manage time to complete e?ciently and within the provided budget from the Superintendent.
• Operate hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments.
• Clean and prepare construction sites, including removing debris and possible hazards.
• Load and unload construction materials and move materials to work areas.
• Measure, mark, and record openings and distances to lay out areas where construction work will be performed.
• Follow building plans to meet the needs of clients.
• Install structures and ?xtures, such as windows, frames, ?oorings, and trim.
• Assist with heavy equipment operation, as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures on the job site and report violations immediately to management.
• Maintain a clean and safe job site and ensure that all tools and equipment are properly cleaned and stored.
• Identify and resolve construction-related problems or obstacles promptly and e?ciently.
• Communicate e?ectively with supervisors, team members, and other tradespeople.
• Plan and coordinate work activities to minimize disruption to residents in occupied multi-family communities.
• Upload daily logs, photos, and receipts into the project management system.
• Exercise sensitivity and professionalism when interacting with homeowners and
• residents a?ected by construction activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Qualifications

• 3-10 years experience in framing, waterproofing decks, and stucco/lath work
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certi?cation in a skilled trade (e.g., welding, carpentry, electrical, plumbing) is required.
• Proven experience as a skilled construction laborer.
• Pro?ciency in operating construction equipment and power tools.
• Knowledge of construction safety protocols and practices.
• Physical strength and stamina to perform strenuous tasks.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
