- Purpose of Position
Supervises, coordinates and manages daily activities of In-Home Care Clients and Caregivers. Maintains regular contact with clients and caregivers to insure superior service delivery and responsive to client needs
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The following will be done, within the first 3-6 months, while under the supervision of the assigned IHC Supervisor III
- Builds served hours to 2500. If obtaining a caseload, maintain levels given.
- Conducts client initial, 6-month and yearly evaluations/home visits according to organizational policies and procedures, and the Statement of Work;
- Maintains frequent and as needed telephone contacts with clients;
- Manages and maintains client case files according to regulation and organization policy.
- Participates in any external and internal auditing practices as requested.
- Assists in hiring decisions regarding open IHC caregiver positions;
- Schedules Caregivers and assigns to clients;
- Supervises Caregivers assigned to clients
- Completes performance evaluations for Caregivers according to organizational policy;
- Assists in marketing for caregivers as needed with Administrative Assistants
- Maintains a standby name list for available substitute Caregivers;
- Resolves all complaints, incidents and/or issues as directed by regional manager;
- Reports, investigates and completes required documentation for workplace accidents in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Reports all unusual occurrences regarding client care to Regional Manager;
- Processes disciplinary action with caregivers where appropriate in conjunction with regional manager and Human Resources;
- Processes Caregivers electronic timekeeping for payroll in a timely manner;
- Insures compliance with Electronic Visit Verification;
- Makes emergency arrangements for clients including notifying AAA Case Manager and others as required;
- Corresponds and communicates as necessary with DSHS Case Management and clients;
- Participates in IHC phone rotation program in their region;
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Position Requirements, Competencies and Qualifications
- Satisfactorily pass criminal history and reference checks;
- Valid/current driver's license and auto insurance is required if driving;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Good time management and organizational skills;
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively with others;
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, e.g. PowerPoint, Excel, WORD, etc.;
3.1 Educational Level
- High school diploma, GED or foreign equivalent required
- Some college preferred.
3.2 Experience
- Demonstrated ability to supervise staff.
- Experience providing services to the elderly and/or people with disabilities preferred.
- Working Conditions
- Ability to work in an office environment
- Ability to travel to different locations
- Work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking, standing, bending, reaching, twisting, and traveling
- Physical Requirements
- Ability to apply principles of logical thinking, to define problems
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagrammatic or schedule form
- Ability to read, write, speak, understand, or communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of the position
- Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less, up to 20 feet or more
