Mobile Health Team Inc., a staffing agency has an opening for a Medical Technologist/Laboratory Technician(MT/MLT). We are looking for someone with a passion for people.

Assignment Start Date: 9/30/2024

13 weeks | Evenings | 8-hour shifts | 40 hours per week

Proficiently performs a variety of chemical, microscopic, and bacteriological tests and procedures following established policies and procedures of the laboratory and requirements of accrediting and regulating agencies. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide laboratory services appropriate to the age of the patients served including newborn, pediatric, adult, and geriatric.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION

Experience:

• Experience in phlebotomy is a must!

Education:

• Must have a Degree in Medical Technology or related biological science

Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registration:

• Must be ASCP certified as an MLT or MT/MLS.
• Must be BLS/BCLS certified

EMR System: Meditech experience desired

Shift: Shift will be primarily evenings (2 pm 10:30 pm), with rotating weekends and on-call hours.

Knowledge/Abilities/Skills:

• Basic computer knowledge,
• ability to perform mathematical calculations,
• Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to use sound judgment to ensure quality of patient care.
• Good communication skills, written and verbal, effective reading and comprehension skills.
• Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. or more
• Follow proper body mechanics as relates to the job.
