We are searching for a talented Imaging Assistant I
Hours: 32 flex 40hrs
Shift: Day/Evening shift with weekend and holiday rotation; 7:00am - 3:30pm and 11:00am - 7:30pm
Location: St. Luke's Hospital - New Bedford, MA

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.

Responsibilities:Under the general supervision and direction of the Manager, Radiology Clinical Services or designee, provide patient care including patient transport, obtaining medical histories, preparing patients for exams, assisting patients on and off the imaging table and performing modality-specific duties as assigned. Assist with patient exams and explain any delays in procedures. Process requisitions/paperwork, review schedules and assist with retrieval of outside images. Control inventory and maintain adequate levels of supplies. Assist with special projects as assigned such as Quality Assurance, Education, etc.Qualifications:
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent plus additional specialized courses or training.
- Duties require computer skills, including knowledge of both hospital departmental computer systems.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology required.
- Knowledge of office equipment and basic knowledge of patient care equipment is required.
- CPR certification required within 3 months.
- One year of related work experience in a similar position is preferred.
- Current CPR certifications are required.
