Job Description
Supervises and coordinates imaging operations and technologists. Ensures assignments are completed and maintains quality patient care.
Responsibilities Include:
- Supervises, hires, trains, disciplines and evaluates the performance of staff. Ensures performance appraisals are completed in a timely manner.
- Prioritizes, schedules, assigns and monitors work to optimize operational performance.
- Organizes and guides staff towards service line/department goals.
- Analyzes, recommends, implements and monitors approved work-flow changes.
- Ensures staff adherence to Quality and Infection Control guidelines and equipment maintenance according to state and federal guidelines.
- Maintains related accreditation, Quality Assurance, and Quality Control standards within modality.
- Troubleshoots mechanical equipment issues and ensures compliance to manufacturer specifications. Schedule equipment maintenance and repair.
- Ensures adequate inventory of supplies.
- Participates in developing and delivering training related to modality.
- Participates in evaluating and implementing Performance Improvement related practices.
- Functions as a technologist and responds to emergency calls, as necessary.
- Performs related duties, as required.

Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology, Nuclear Medicine or Ultrasound Technology program, required.
- Current New York State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist, required. American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration, required OR Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), required OR Current New York State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist, required.
- Minimum of three (3) years progressively responsible imaging experience, required.
ARRT registration in MRI or CT, required. Certified in IV Contrast Administration, required OR Current New York State licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, required. ARRT registration OR NMTCB certification, required.
