Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal advice on immigration-related matters, including but not limited to green card applications, asylum, perm labor certification, and citizenship.
- Represent clients in immigration proceedings, effectively advocating for their rights and interests.
- Prepare and submit applications, petitions, and appeals related to immigration matters.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case preparation and representation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in immigration law and procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to develop strategies for cases and to maintain a high level of client service.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, providing regular updates on case progress and addressing any concerns or questions.
- Ensure all activities adhere to ethical and professional standards as outlined by the law.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active member of a state bar association in good standing.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in immigration law, specifically with green card, asylum, perm labor certification, and citizenship cases.
- Demonstrated ability to represent clients in complex immigration proceedings.
- Excellent legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively advocate for clients and explain complex legal matters in clear, understandable terms.
- High level of professionalism, with a commitment to upholding ethical standards.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Proven track record of providing exceptional client service.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Fluency in a second language is a plus.
