Import Compliance Specialist - CSI Solar - USA

Import Trade Compliance Specialist supports the organization’s import and export operation, ensure trade compliance; Support Supply Chain special programs that unify and optimize supply chain functions.

Responsibilities:

• Manage organizational trade compliance, develop Logistics systems or processes to ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements
• Ensure compliance with all applicable import and export control laws and regulations, including ITAR, EAR99, ECCN and CBP
• Closely follow US, international trade regulations, develop proper trade or import strategies, ensure trade compliance, avoid business disruptions, reduce cost
• Support Import and Export classification and valuation
• Create standard operating procedures and work instructions, provide training to team members; Identify professional development requirements and needs, develop professional training programs
• Initiate and support Supply Chain cost reduction projects
• Support C-TPAT certification and validation efforts
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelors preferred, Supply Chain or Logistics, or equivalent work experience
• 3 years’ experience in trade compliance (import/export)
• Knowledge of global trade regulations, import and export administration regulations, antiboycott regulations, sanctions administered by the office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and Customs regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving interpersonal and communication skill
• Knowledge of ERP systems, as well as Microsoft Office products
• Flexibility in hours mandatory, able to work off hours, holidays and weekends as needed.
