JOB SUMMARY
Provides in-home Multi-systemic Therapy for Emerging Adults(MST-EA) clinical services to clients (18 to 25 years old) and families involved in the justice system. Engages in all treatment activities in accordance with the Multi-systemic Therapy for Emerging Adults(MST-EA) model including assessment, engagement, treatment planning, crisis intervention, case management and discharge planning.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participates in MST-EA training and demonstrates a clear understanding of the model.
- Provides direct clinical services to emerging adults and their families involved in the justice system in accordance with the MST-EA model.
- Engages clients and families in comprehensive safety planning.
- Completes clinical documentation on all active cases including assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, safety plans and MST-EA weekly paperwork.
- Participates in weekly group supervision and consultation with assigned team. Present conceptualization of cases and incorporate feedback from consultant, supervisor and teammates into treatment planning.
- Adheres to the MST-EA model and ensures completion of all model requirements (i.e. weekly paperwork; audio tape sessions, etc.).
- Participates in quarterly MST-EA booster trainings and all required agency and funder trainings.
- Completes clinical documentation and reports in an accurate and timely fashion; maintains all documentation and reports required by agency policies and funding sources (i.e. CDCS, FIDO, etc.)
- Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with referring Probation Officers as well as community agencies to provide comprehensive and effective treatment for clients and families.
- Ensures regular communication and timely updates on case progress to referring agents.
- Participates in 24/7 on-call rotation with teammates to support clients/families in times of crisis.
- Maintains flexible schedule to ensure availability to clients and families.
- Participates in clinical supervision with MST-EA Supervisor. Work in collaboration with supervisor to create a Clinician Development Plan.
- Understands and adheres to agency policies and procedures.
- Contributes to program functioning by assuming responsibility for special tasks or leadership in special projects as appropriate.
- Contributes to agency organizational life by participating in agency-wide task forces, committees, or problem-solving teams as appropriate.
- Contributes to agency visibility and development of community linkages by representing The Village in community groups/committees, or assuming responsibility for community presentations, as assigned by supervisor.

Required Experience:
EDUCATION
- Master’s Degree from an accredited program in social work or related field, professional license in the state of Connecticut preferred. Must be license eligible; Associate license required (i.e. LMSW, MFT-A, LPC-A)
EXPERIENCE
- Demonstrated ability to provide culturally competent services.
- Knowledge of population and criminal justice system preferred.
- Bilingual, Spanish-speaking, is required.
- Ability to work flexible hours, engage in statewide travel and provide 24/7 on-call rotation coverage.
- Physical abilities required to accomplish the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations; ability to function safely in therapeutic situations, including provision of services in clients’ homes or host settings.
