What is ABA Therapy?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a well-established, research-based method designed to improve behavior through the application of behavioral principles. ABA therapy helps enhance essential skills and improves the overall quality of life for individuals with autism and other developmental disorders.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Implement ABA therapy interventions in clients' homes.
- Collect and analyze data on client progress, preparing reports for review by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Collaborate with program staff to maintain the effectiveness of therapy programs.
- Provide regular updates to parents and guardians, and incorporate their feedback into therapy.
- Adapt and refine therapy programs as needed.
- Communicate effectively with your BCBA to ensure high-quality support.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt based on feedback.
- Follow detailed instructions and seek clarification when necessary.
- Manage travel to clients' homes with reliable transportation.
We're Looking For:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience with ABA therapy or working with children with special needs is beneficial but not required.
- RBT certification is preferred; if not certified, a 40-hour ABA course is desirable but not mandatory.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle the physical demands of the role.
- Willingness to obtain In-Person First Aid/CPR certification
- Valid Driver's License, reliable transportation (we do not provide client transport), and current insurance.
