Provident Realty Advisors (“Provident”) is seeking a talented mid-level attorney with sophisticated commercial real estate transaction experience to fill the position of In-House Counsel.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in various aspects of commercial real estate, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, leasing, title and survey review, and property development.

Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will provide legal and business support on the acquisition, disposition, financing, development, and leasing matters for Provident’s diverse real estate portfolio.
- Draft, interpret, and negotiate letters of intent, purchase and sale agreements, loan documents, commercial leases, consulting agreements, management agreements, service agreements, vendor and construction contacts, and other ancillary real estate documents. Transactions range from standard contracts to complex, high-value agreements.
- Advise on complex real estate-related issues on projects located throughout the United States.
- Manage and resolve commercial tenant lease issues and ensure tenant lease compliance.
- Provide legal counsel on land use and zoning matters as part of property development.
- Handle legal work for the company as needed, supporting the company’s business needs and objectives through strong legal advice and guidance.
- Provide advice and counsel to executive members of the company regarding corporate business matters, real estate issues, and other general legal matters.
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure successful execution of transactions.
Basic Qualifications:
- J.D. degree from an accredited law school
- Must be a member in good standing of the Texas State Bar
- 5 years of experience practicing Real Estate law with proven experience in acquisition, disposition, financing, leasing, title and survey review, and development of commercial real estate.
- Proven experience in acquisition, disposition, financing, leasing, title and survey review, and development of commercial real estate.
- Exceptional experience drafting and negotiating a variety of real estate transactional documents (i.e. leases, lease amendments, purchase and sale agreements, easements, development agreements, co-ownership agreements etc.).
- Strong research and analytical abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work.
- Insurance experience in areas associated with construction and real estate.
- Familiarity with AIA suite of construction and design agreements.
- Familiarity with lean principles of construction project delivery.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple complex transactions in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate risk and to exercise sound legal judgment even in ambiguous situations.
