Job Details
Position Overview: This position is responsible for coordinating movement of goods and materials into our distribution centers from our suppliers, ensuring a streamlined process and finding cost savings strategies.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Inbound shipment coordination: Ensuring that shipments are scheduled, processed, tracked, and meet deadlines
- Work closely with carriers and suppliers, managing documentation throughout
- Logistics provider management: Select, contract, and manage provider relationships. Negotiate rates, establish agreements, and monitor performance
- Transportation Planning & Optimization: Analyze order volume, transit times, capacities, and transportation plans.
- Work with providers to ensure load consolidation, routing, and efficiency maximization for distance, cost, capacity etc.
- Shipment tracking and documentation
- Cost control and budget management
- Inventory management
- Performance monitoring
- Collaboration and coordination
- Communication
- Compliance and safety
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree
- 5+ in transportation management
- Project management experience
- Distribution center management systems experience
- End-to-end global supply chain experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA
- Bilingual English / Mandarin
- Asian import experience
