Income Tax Analyst - BMW Of North America

About the Job
Key responsibilities:
- Support SAP S/4HANA ERP and G/L system migration and collaborate among various departments to ensure all tax requirements are included in the migration
- Prepare income tax provision, BEAT and Section 163(j) calculations on a quarterly basis for financial reporting purposes
- Submit quarterly reports - risk reporting, current tax, tax attributes to GTC (Global Tax Center)
- Interact and collaborate with external financial auditors
- Manage Section 174 Research and Experimental Expenditure and R&D Credit study project
- Implement and maintain internal controls documentation in the Tax Compliance and Customs Framework ("TCCF")
- Assist with reporting in Global Tax Center ("GTC") for quarterly tax reporting and OECD Pillar Two compliance
- Prepare/review Federal and state separate and combined/consolidated income tax returns
- Prepare quarterly estimates and extensions for all companies within the BMW US Group
- Analyze and respond to Federal and state notices
- Compile Federal and state income tax research and monitor legislative changes
- Assist in preparing Federal and state tax work paper for UNICAP, BEAT, FDII, 5471, 5472.
- Interface and collaborate with various internal and external service providers to deal with various tax topics

The pay range for this role is: $74,831-$87,642.
The selected candidate's education, skills, experience, and location will be used to determine the final salary offer. All pay ranges are based on a full-time work schedule. This statement is in accordance with state and local pay disclosure requirements.

- Bachelors degree in accounting or related field
- 2+ years income tax compliance and research
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to work proactively and successfully as a team member and independently
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Project management skills
Preferences:
- Masters in related field
- Experience with ERP system migration and implementation
- Experience with automation tools (e.g. Alteryx)
- Experience with federal and state income tax compliance and research
- Experience using income tax compliance software OneSource tax system, SAP, Excel, Word, pivot tables and V-lookups
