About the Job
Provide additional academic assistance to students especially in math and reading
Provide students with the opportunity to learn about their culture and incorporate activities that enhance their culture (including language if you have that knowledge)
Identify the daily needs of students and respond accordingly without direction from certificated staff
Assist in Indian Education family engagement nights activities, outreach and planning
Proficient in building relationships with students
Self-starter with ability to work independently
Strong communication skills
Flexibility in daily duties and routines as directed by the teacher/administration
Other duties as assigned by administration
Maintain appropriate records
Prepare quarterly reports for Title VI and JOM committees
Assist with preparation of classroom materials as requested
Attend Title VI and JOM Committee meetings and emergency meetings when necessary
Incorporate activities that enhance the Native American culture
Maintain appropriate records
Adhere to confidentiality standards
Must have experience in working with elementary aged children

Strong communication skills
Incorporate Native language into activities and lessons with the students
Self-starter with the ability to work independently
Must hold a current First Aid/CPR card
Must have an AA degree or equivalent or have passed the Paraprofessional Assessment
Other duties as assigned by the Principal and Director
Must pass a valid Washington State Background and fingerprint Check
7.5 hours per day, 5 days a week
Pay is based on the current PSE agreement
