Light Electric Co., Inc. is looking for a skilled and experienced Industrial Controls Electrician / Journeyman to join our team. This position requires a professional who can work independently, run a crew, and supervise projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in industrial controls and the ability to manage complex electrical installations and troubleshooting.

• Crew Management:
  • Supervise and lead a team of electricians, ensuring projects are completed on time and to high standards.
  • Provide guidance and training to team members, promoting a collaborative and efficient work environment.
• Conduit Installation:
  • Run conduit including EMT, Rigid (up to 6'), and PVC.
  • Ensure all conduit installations are compliant with electrical codes and safety standards.
• Medium Voltage Work:
  • Perform medium voltage work up to 35,000 volts, including installation and maintenance.
  • Ensure safe handling and operation of medium voltage equipment.
• Panel Assembly:
  • Make up motor and breaker panels, ensuring all connections are secure and meet specifications.
  • Install new conduit, wiring, and motors as required for various projects.
• Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with industrial control systems.
  • Perform regular maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Safety and Compliance:
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Conduct regular safety checks and ensure team members follow safety guidelines.

• Experience:
  • 8-10 years of experience as an electrician, with 7-10+ years in industrial settings.
• Certifications:
  • Journeyman Card preferred.
  • CDL preferred for driving Boom and Bucket Truck.
• Skills:
  • Extensive experience in industrial controls and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to run conduit (EMT, Rigid, PVC) and perform medium voltage work.
  • Strong work ethic, trustworthy, and a team player.
• Flexibility:
  • Willingness to work shutdowns and travel for projects.
• Requirements:
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening prior to onboarding.
