Position Overview: The Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for testing and troubleshooting machines and equipment to ensure proper functioning during production. The successful candidate will respond quickly to issues, maintaining a strong focus on quality and safety. You will be expected to follow all safety and company policies and actively participate in creating and maintaining a safe work environment while continuously improving operations.
Job Responsibilities:
- This is a senior maintenance position.
- Perform equipment and facilities electro-mechanical troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repair activities.
- Perform regular preventative maintenance, startups, and installation of parts per machine manuals.
- Maintain a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies, using extreme care when exposed to high voltage and arc flash potential energy sources.
- Skilled in the operation of overhead and jib cranes, scissor lifts, and bucket lifts.
- Visually inspect and listen to machines and equipment to diagnose and locate causes of malfunctions.
- Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics to repair mechanical components, including shafts, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, motors, drives, and 3-phase power systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and fluid power systems at an intermediate level.
- Actively listen and engage with colleagues, asking questions to ensure understanding.
Daily Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Ability to climb ladders, stairs, ramps, and scaffolds; bend or crawl into awkward spaces.
- Capable of bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, squatting, and moving as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
- Utilize fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Traverse and inspect all areas of the job site in various weather conditions, including walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching.
- Navigate wet, slippery, unsteady, irregular, narrow, vibrating, or moving surfaces.
- Compliance with site-specific physical and safety requirements.
- Ability to wear job-specific PPE as required
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED and 4-8 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or maintenance setting.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Detail-oriented with proven organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills at all levels within and outside the organization.
