Industrial Electrical Maintenance Service Technician - 1st shift.
Potential rotating overnight/out of town work may be required.
Pay scale - $25/hour to $32/hour with Medical insurance covered
Candidate qualifications and key responsibilities include the following:
As an Industrial Electrical Maintenance Service Technician, you are responsible for performing comprehensive quality inspections, running diagnostic testing, completing required repairs, and executing preventative maintenance services on overhead cranes, hoists, and associated parts. Since you will be assigned to and based with the customer, you will build a working relationship and establish yourself, in this role, as the go to for site-based coverage.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Extensive electrical experience is required. Experience with 208V, 240V and 480V, 3 Phase power is required at a minimum. PLC troubleshooting and programming is also necessary.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical controls (minimum two years’ experience).
Hands on experience with PLCs and VFDs, AC & DC motors and control systems.
Knowledge of remote-control radio installation and repair, a plus.
Troubleshoot and repair overhead cranes, crane controls, hoists, and drives.
Inspect overhead industrial cranes and hoists.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities on equipment.
Proper use of a man lift during service.
Evaluate and communicate with recommendations requiring repairs.
Communicate with management and sales as to what further needs the customer could have.
Attends customer safety and operations meetings as required.
Maintains time tracking per job and reports any product concerns or inconsistencies.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Ability to work independently, as required.
CORE SKILLS:
Ability to read and understand work instructions, manuals, and schematics.
Ability to evaluate and troubleshoot issues quickly and calmly.
Ability to manage time to a schedule and accountable for reporting per job.
Ability to properly maintain and perform basic troubleshooting on equipment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office or related software as necessary to complete logs or records.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Minimum 5 years' work experience as a technician.
Strong Electrical and Mechanical skills from trade school or hands on experience required.
Electrical knowledge working with, a minimum of, 3 Phase - 480V, Industrial Electric Service, performing voltage conversions, working with capacitors and transformer connections.
Overhead crane experience at some level, a plus.
Welding aptitude and fabrication skills would be a benefit.
Ability to work overtime.
Demonstrated positive attendance record.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.
Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds at a time.
Ability to frequently walk, climb, kneel, bend, reach overhead, push, pull, and use a ladder or stool.
Frequently exposed to heat, cold, noise and heights.
Ability to work in outside conditions during all seasons.
Must have manual dexterity to assemble products or machines as directed.
Must wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
Have a good driving record
Must Pass Drug Test upon hiring and random testing
Have own basic tools required for this field of work

Pay Details: $52,000.00 to $66,560.00 per year
