Overview:
We are looking to hire Journeyman Electricians for the plant who are skilled professionals responsible for ensuring the electrical systems within the plant facility are installed, maintained, and repaired to support uninterrupted plant operations. They play a crucial role in maintaining electrical equipment and systems to meet safety standards and production requirements. Most of the work is in the Albany, GA area but some travel to surrounding counties may be required.
Responsibilities:- Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, machinery, and equipment within the plant facility.
- Diagnose electrical issues using schematics, diagrams, and testing equipment to identify and resolve problems promptly.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks on electrical systems and equipment to prevent breakdowns and downtime.
- Respond to emergency situations promptly to troubleshoot and repair electrical failures, minimizing production disruptions.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Install and calibrate instrumentation systems used for process control and monitoring within the plant.
- Maintain and troubleshoot power distribution systems, including transformers, switchgear, and circuit breakers, to ensure reliable power supply throughout the plant.
- Assist with programming and troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) used for automation and control processes.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment inspections, and repairs performed.
- Must have industrial plant experience.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an electrician is required.
- Must possess strong conduit and cable tray installation skills.
- Capable of reading drawings.
- Must be able to safely operate a variety of hand tools and power equipment.
- Will be required to provide own hand tools.
- Must have experience and knowledge of operating aerial lifts and forklifts.
- Will be required to pass a drug test and background screening
- Walking/Standing/Climbing/Bending in an industrial plant.
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Working a 10 hour shift in an industrial environment.
- Monday - Thursday
