About the Job
Your Key Responsibilities
- Create product costing for Business Division Bearings
- Support PPA creation and evaluate economical profitability of the business case
- Define the best production location and support product industrialization
- Lead and support VA/VE workshops for new and existing products
- Evaluate regional product footprint and propose ideas to improve cost and thus profit margins by synergizing local and global business
- Evaluate machine and plant layouts and optimize headcount requirements
- Evaluate and forecast needed headcount based on production order forecast and machine load
- Identify OEE gaps and support manufacturing units to improve key machines
- Evaluate CAPEX and investment forecast. Ensure CAPEX is aligned with the local and global business development
- Perform time studies and cycle time analysis
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
- Excellent engineering & physics knowledge
- Knowledge of the automotive manufacturing industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Superior mechanical ability
- Good knowledge of production processes, measurement and inspection procedures
- Excellent communication ability (written & verbal)
- Extremely self-motivated & driven to achieve results
- Continuous improvement approach
- Assertive approach to solving problems
- Ability to prioritize and make decisions
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge in SAP
- Master's degree in an engineering discipline
- 5 years Industrial Engineering, Project Management or Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing plant
