The Industrial Engineer is responsible for creating, documenting, developing, and implementing the processes and procedures used to assemble complex automotive modules for our Tier 1 automotive supplier. This role is critical in ensuring efficient plant operations and maintaining high-quality standards in our modular assembly processes.

Responsibilities:- Assess and optimize assembly processes for relevance and efficiency in plant operations.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
- Design and develop tooling mechanisms and equipment for use in modular assembly processes.
- Interface with machining and automation teams to troubleshoot assembly equipment and mechanics
- Plan, coordinate, and implement various projects related to modular assembly.
- Establish and improve training methods for assembly processes.
- Provide guidance on equipment selection, overall operations, and future expansion plans.
- Develop and track maintenance procedures for assembly equipment.
- Lead maintenance staff and handle day-to-day troubleshooting issues.
- Support program meetings both internally and with customers as required.
- Track and implement process/equipment changes once approved.
- Ensure all processes are working at optimum levels of efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field from an accredited four-year college or university.
- 8+ years of experience in automotive manufacturing, preferably in modular assembly or related processes.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with automation systems
- Experience with CAD software, preferably AutoCAD.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience leading technical staff.
Required Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, procedures, and regulations.
- Advanced mathematical skills, including the ability to apply concepts such as statistical analysis and process capability studies.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams.
