Industrial Engineer (CI Engineer)
The Industrial Engineer is an innovative thinker and problem solver that leads in creating, developing, and deploying process improvements to support a safe and efficient lean manufacturing facility. - Executes manufacturing “CI” assignments with/without supervision in the value stream.
- Create flow by implementing a lean manufacturing system that aligns with strategic objects. Including installation of assembly lines, material pull systems, and u-shaped cells.
- Evaluates, assists and able to implement efficiency improvements in determined processes or equipment as assigned with and without guidance.
- Evaluates and performs time studies and process observations for efficiency improvements and line balancing.
- Develops and maintain standard work and other visual management tools.
- Projects may include new and improved layout proposals to improve material and process flow.
- Work safely utilizing PPE and following all safety procedures.
- Follow all inventory control procedures while implementing Kanban processes.
- Assist in training of the necessary Lean transformation tools and techniques as required.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- BS in industrial Engineering.
- Experience in a Lean Environment/Culture and a Continuous Improvement role.
- Basic CAD experience required.
- Lean basic knowledge required and “practical application” of Lean Tools.
- Strong experience with MS Office, including Word and Excel.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals written in English.
- Ability to communicate with co-workers and management in a productive manner.
- “Proven” Ability to “Drive and Develop” Kaizen activity in a Manufacturing environment
- Ability to use hand tools as needed.
- Self-motivated – “Driver” type personality and strives for Accuracy and Proficiency at assigned tasks.
- Must support and display Quikserv Core Principles while leading by example in Safety & Quality.
- Must support Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Frequent standing, bending, and walking.
