Staff Finders Technical Inc. is seeking an Industrial / Manufacturing Engineer to plan, coordinate, and perform engineering work for projects and processes that drive operational excellence. In this role, you will work collaboratively within a team, supporting either the enterprise product delivery or the enterprise order fulfillment process. Projects will vary from moderate scope to significant portions of larger, multifaceted initiatives. Decisions are generally made within established guidelines, with occasional reviews by supervisors or managers. This role may involve assigning, coordinating, and reviewing work for support personnel, contractors, and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and refine routing, layout, tooling, costing, and quality plans, as well as documentation and labor standards for new or revised operations of moderate scope.
- Provide troubleshooting support for current operations by investigating, gathering, and analyzing data to develop and implement solutions.
- Drive cost reduction, quality enhancement, and safety and ergonomic improvements through innovative approaches.
- Utilize electronic tools across a broad range of applications, including e-builds, modeling, and simulations.
- Develop and implement lean manufacturing initiatives via the Deere Production System, including designing operations layouts and optimizing material flow.
- Lead studies on capacity, energy, productivity, and efficiency enhancements within the facility.
- Analyze, develop, and integrate new manufacturing processes and technologies.
- Support modifications and provide input on performance pay plans, and assist in establishing baseline data for new incentive plans.
Position Requirements:
- Degree or experience in an engineering field such as mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, machining, or power systems.
- Background in manufacturing and distribution processes, quality, tooling, tool design, preventive maintenance, and facilities management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Hands-on experience with shop floor manufacturing, incentive pay systems, and work measurement.
- Flexibility to work varied hours to support operational needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in Industrial Engineering with experience in time studies.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer.
Additional Details:
- Steel-toe metatarsal boots required on the first day.
