Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Estimator who will also take on Project Manager responsibilities. This hybrid role is essential, with the primary focus on estimating project costs and ensuring each project runs smoothly from start to finish. The successful candidate will evaluate project costs, develop detailed estimates, and manage project timelines, budgets, and execution. Key Responsibilities
Estimator Responsibilities (Primary Focus)
Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications to determine accurate cost estimates.
Prepare detailed cost breakdowns for labor, materials, and equipment.
Obtain and evaluate quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
Assess potential project risks and propose cost-effective solutions.
Collaborate with the project team and clients to refine estimates and align them with budgets.
Utilize automation and AI tools to streamline estimating processes where possible.
Project Manager Responsibilities
Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure projects run smoothly.
Monitor project progress, manage changes, and address any issues that arise.
Interact closely with Site Superintendent and Client project Manger
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards.
Prepare and present regular project reports to stakeholders.
Travel to job sites across Texas, New Mexico, Louisiana, and Oklahoma for 1-3 days per week, as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (strongly preferred).
3-10 years of experience in construction estimating.
Experience in project management or willingness to take on project management responsibilities.
Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office.
Proficiency in Running Microsoft Projects Software
Experience with AI and automation tools for cost estimation is a plus.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Willingness to travel within the region as required.
