We are seeking a skilled and proactive Industrial Hygienist to be a vital part of our team. In this role, you will develop and maintain programs that protect our employees from exposure to physical, chemical, biological, and ergonomic hazards. Your expertise will drive our safety initiatives and help ensure a safer workplace for all.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage industrial hygiene programs to minimize exposure risks.
- Conduct environmental monitoring, such as air and noise sampling, and use cutting-edge equipment to assess workplace conditions.
- Analyze occupational exposure data and recommend control measures to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Coordinate sample analysis with labs and evaluate results to identify potential risks.
- Investigate workplace accidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Stay current on regulations and provide expert consultation on health and safety issues.
- Design and deliver training programs on safety protocols and exposure prevention.
- Advise on workers' compensation claims related to workplace exposures.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene or a related field, or at least one year of relevant experience.
- Preferred: Master's degree in Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, or similar field.
- Experience: Minimum of one year in Industrial Hygiene (or relevant field).
- Preferred: 3+ years in an industrial environment, particularly in heavy industry.
- Certifications: Valid driver's license is required.
- Preferred: Certifications in Environmental Health, Safety, or Industrial Hygiene.
- Proficiency in industrial hygiene data interpretation, environmental testing, and use of industrial hygiene equipment.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
Skills & Abilities
- Ability to work with confidential information and maintain strict confidentiality.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage various projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel as needed and maintain punctuality and attendance.
- Capacity to handle the physical demands of the role, including working safely around heavy equipment and responding to visual and audible warnings.
