However, for exceptional non-local candidates, travel and lodging accommodations will be provided.*Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced Industrial Hygienist Technician to oversee and manage Legionella risk control within our client"s water systems. This role is critical for ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and maintaining best practices in Legionella management. The successful candidate will collaborate with a dedicated team to develop documentation, conduct risk assessments, and implement procedures to ensure water safety at our client"s facility in Graniteville, South Carolina.Key Responsibilities:* Develop and implement Legionella risk management protocols, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other relevant safety regulations.* Create and maintain documentation, including risk assessments, compliance plans, and operational processes.* Collaborate with internal teams to establish water safety measures that align with industry standards.* Conduct regular risk assessments of water systems to identify potential Legionella hazards and implement preventive or corrective actions.* Train staff on Legionella control measures, ensuring adherence to safety practices.* Monitor water systems' performance and provide updates on Legionella risk management activities to key stakeholders.Core Qualifications:* Bachelor"s degree in environmental health, engineering, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.* 3 or more years of experience in environmental health & safety, engineering, or a related discipline.* Proficiency desired in water system management, risk assessments, and Legionella control measures.* Certification in Legionella management (e.g., ASSE Legionella Management Certification) desired.* Strong communication skills with the ability to train staff, write reports, and interact with various teams.* Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.If you are a skilled Industrial Hygienist Technician with experience in Legionella control and water safety management, we encourage you to apply today and join our team, ensuring the safety and compliance of our client"s water systems.Belcan provides a competitive pay and benefits package.
