Job Responsibilities:
Efficiently repair breakdowns to maintain production across all facility areas.
Perform preventative maintenance to support fast-paced production operations.
Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic/hydraulic issues on all plant equipment.
Complete work orders promptly and to the highest quality standards.
Communicate effectively between shifts, ensuring detailed log book entries.
Accurately and efficiently troubleshoot equipment problems.
Adhere to company safety and GMP policies/guidelines in all tasks.
Support the plant’s Continuous Improvement Program.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements:
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with department managers, line operators, quality assurance personnel, and contractors.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Completion of an industrial technologies certificate program is preferred.
3-5 years of progressive technical experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, preferably in the meat industry.
Knowledge of safety policies and procedures for safe equipment operation.
TIG welding on stainless steel is a plus.
Competency in arc and gas welding.
Experience with high-speed packaging and processing equipment.
Electrical knowledge and experience are advantageous.
