Industrial Maintenance Technician - Spherion

Spherion Staffing has a night shift Industrial Maintenance Technician position available in Beresford, SD. The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of equipment, machinery, and systems used in industrial production processes. This role ensures that all equipment operates efficiently and safely, minimizing downtime and preventing costly repairs. The technician will work closely with other maintenance and production staff to ensure smooth and continuous plant operations

Pay: $25-28/hour DOE

Responsibilities:
-Maintain machinery, equipment, facilities, and grounds to ensure operational goals are met
-Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
-Utilize CMMS to document all repairs, preventative maintenance, and work completed
-Efficiently perform regular and preventative maintenance related to the plant, equipment, and grounds in compliance with standard operating procedures, good manufacturing practices, and safety policies as enforced by OSHA
-Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment during the production process as needed.
-Complete and update work orders using CMMS systems
-Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs
-Effectively perform and assist in repair or updating and installation of equipment
-Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed
-Assist as needed with regulatory inspections
-Maintain a clean and safe work environment
-Attend mandatory staff meetings and training sessions
-Responsible for food safety
-All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
-High School Diploma or equivalent
-Mechanical and electrical aptitude required
-Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs
-Effectively perform and assist in repair or updating and installation of equipment
-Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in work
-Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
-Prior experience in dairy processing preferred
