We are looking for an Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team in San Antonio, Texas.
Job Summary
Responsible for overseeing the installation and maintenance of industrial equipment and ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. This will include installing new equipment, performing regular services and maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting equipment breakdowns while ensuring all production equipment functions correctly and receives regular maintenance

Job Summary
Responsible for overseeing the installation and maintenance of industrial equipment and ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. This will include installing new equipment, performing regular services and maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting equipment breakdowns while ensuring all production equipment functions correctly and receives regular maintenance
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret engineering blueprints.
- Instal new production equipment.
- Maintain inventories of equipment parts and supplies by determining failure frequency, checking stock and placing orders
- Service and maintain equipment including motors, conveyor systems, transmission systems,and production-related equipment.
- Train production workers on routine preventive maintenance.
- Inspect and assess the functionality of production machines.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical breakdowns.
- Adjust mechanical parts using hand and machine tools.
- Fabricate parts for repairs and machine upgrades.
- Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks.
- Prepare and submits maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing informationand trends•In-depth use of knowledge with mechanical and electrical systems maintenance.
- Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems;and using precision measuring tools.
- Remove defective parts by dismantling devices, using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools.Strong welding skills are a plus.
- Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts using rules,calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
- Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, andalignment equipment.
- Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques;monitoring compliance, irregularities, and scheduling correction of abnormalities.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, andregulations.
Education
- High school diploma or GED (General Education Degree) required.
- Technical school or College a plus.Completion of an industrial maintenance apprenticeship program is a plus.
- 5 or more years experience as an industrial maintenance technician required; corrective/breakdown experience preferred
- Applicant must be familiar with the use of:MultimeterDC & AC Amperage Clamp MeterCutting torchDrillGrinderHand toolsPneumaticsHydraulicsValvesLubrication systems
- Applicant must be proficient reading and Interpreting Blueprints, Mechanical and Electrical Prints.
- Applicants must be able to troubleshoot the following systems and processes while working the floor. (Mostly Rockwell Automation but not limited to):AC DriveDC DrivesServo DrivesPLCHMIClose loop control systemsAC, DC, and Servo Motors
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
