Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our fast-paced, growing company. We are a manufacturer of low-density film and protective flexible packaging, serving the Western United States and Canada for over 25 years. Our company provides 100% custom engineered solutions to its customers with a diverse set of production capabilities. We offer medical insurance, 401K, paid vacation, and other compensations.
Responsibilities
+ Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions on all types of factory machinery including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems utilizing proper tools and equipment.
+ Install, adjust, disassemble, repair, and reassemble motors, gear boxes, pneumatic and hydraulic cylinders and valves, and other components.
+ Review and interpret work orders, tie-ins, technical manuals, machine operations and communicate with production employees and management.
+ Develop maintenance procedures when documentation is not available and devise and make tools to facilitate work.
+ Use a computer to track, document equipment problems, submit/review, and close work orders and preventive maintenance tasks.
+ Perform regular preventative maintenance and work orders as part of daily activities and as assigned.
+ Willingness to work overtime based on business requirements.
Essential Skills
+ Electrical troubleshooting - MUST be able to identify a problem and fix it.
+ Mechanical, Hydraulics, Pneumatics troubleshooting and repair.
+ Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical systems on manufacturing or industrial equipment.
+ Familiarity with basic rigging using chain falls, hoist, and slings.
+ Ability to use common power tools, hand tools, and shop equipment.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
+ Ability to communicate effectively with production employees and management.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with electrical systems including installing new circuits, running conduit, sizing, and pulling wire.
+ Ability in fabrication of steel racks, carts, and other production support equipment.
+ Experience with PLC troubleshooting and VFDs.
+ Experience with electrical control panels.

Work Environment
The role requires physical ability to access all equipment and work at heights up to 70 feet. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and have mathematical ability to use measuring equipment such as dial calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and depth gauges. This job involves frequent stooping, bending, standing, kneeling, reaching, climbing, pulling, pushing, crouching, walking, and lifting. Safety gear including safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes must be worn. Adherence to all plant safety rules, SQF, and HACCP requirements is mandatory. Excellent attendance and a positive attitude are essential. The facility houses 13 extrusion lines.
