The Industrial Mechanic maintains, repairs, and modifies existing equipment. Fabricates and installs new machinery and equipment while adhering to Bridgewater plant’s Preventative Maintenance Program.
Work schedule: M-F, from 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. The Mechanic is expected to work off hours (weekends or evenings) to perform maintenance on equipment as required to avoid production downtime.
Salary: $30.69 per hour

Job Responsibilities: (include but not limited to, the following)
- Performing daily checks on equipment
- Correcting any shortcomings detected that could contribute to unsafe condition or could interfere with production.
- Maintain a clean and well-organized workshop and maintenance parts storage locations. Also, production and facilities equipment including the area around them will be kept clean of spills, leaks, drips etc. through regular routine inspections.
- In addition to completing Preventative Maintenance Work Orders assigned by the supervisor, the Mechanic has a series of job requests in the form of “To Do” list for which he is responsible to complete based on priorities.
- Mechanics may be asked to perform various other duties such as upkeep of grounds, snow removal, painting, furniture moving, or any other related duties as requested from time to time.
- The Mechanic has the skills and ability to safely and effectively operate standard machine tools such as lathes, manual mills, drill presses, grinders, cut-offs and welders.
Skills & Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years in a manufacturing environment as a maintenance person required.
- Able to read and comprehend written specifications, procedures, blueprints, drawings and diagrams in order to conduct repairs on equipment or diagnose problems.
- Holds a Certificate of qualification as an Industrial Mechanic or accepted equivalent preferable.
- Knowledge of basic electrical theory and controls would be an asset.
