ResourceTek, a leader in technical support services, is currently seeking Industrial Mechanical Maintenance Technicians. Selected candidates will join our client, a leader in steel manufacturing, to support PM (preventative maintenance) programs as well as Emergency Maintenance needs. This is a full-time role with ResourceTek near Koppel, PA.
Multiple roles and shifts available. Must be willing and available to work overtime as needed. These are long term, full time (40+ hours per week) opportunities for candidates with 4+ years Industrial Maintenance experience. We are currently conducting interviews for the position listed below:
Industrial Mechanical Maintenance Technicians
Mechanical Technicians should have experience in inspections, troubleshooting, repair and installation of mechanical equipment as it relates to heavy industry manufacturing. Technicians should have experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyors. Ability to execute machine lock outs and tag outs is needed. Must be able to prioritize maintenance and troubleshooting procedures
- Perform preventative maintenance on all production machinery
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical or hydraulic problems on all production machinery.
- Maintain plant facility and utilities through routine inspections in accordance with established schedules.
- Assist in production start-ups of equipment and assist in solving problems.
- Install or modify existing installations of production and plant support equipment
- Analyzes mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment and plans for and takes corrective action.
- Makes necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.
- Reviews production schedule and when equipment is not scheduled for manufacturing, changes over equipment to new sizes or performs scheduled maintenance.
- Tests equipment to check operation, clears jams and sets aside product for inspection and rework; tries out equipment after repairs, changeovers or extended downtime.
- Examines, tests and measures product from assigned equipment for quality specifications, using gauges and instruments and records data on appropriate forms; checks product for visual defects.
- Makes preventive maintenance check and inspection of assigned equipment, reports findings to Manager and takes appropriate action.
- Examines defects and analyzes spoilage causes and, where possible, takes corrective action; analyzes and records cause of production delays on daily production report.
- Notifies maintenance department or production of recurring equipment malfunctions and corrective action taken, and of quality problems or supplies needed.
Qualifications
Selected candidate will have 4+ years Multi-craft Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
Basic electrical and mechanical experience as well as working knowledge of welding equipment.
Ability to accurately read precision measuring instruments and gauges.
Forklift certification preferred as well as experience in welding, machining and fabricating preferred.
Must own basic hand tools, be able to lift up-to 55 pounds overhead and work on call as needed.
