Job Title: Industrial Mechanical Maintenance Technician/Machinery
Role: Industrial Mechanical Maintenance Technician
Salary: $30 - $40 per hour plus OT
Location: Dade City, FL
Work Schedule: 3 PM - 11:30 PM Monday through Friday
POSITION SUMMARY
Perform work involving the skills of one or more maintenance or craft occupations to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of an establishment in repair. Duties may involve pipe fitting; boiler making; insulating; welding; machining; fabrication of chutes, guards, and supports for production machinery; repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment.
POSTION OVERVIEW:
- Troubleshoots equipment failures and maintains the mechanical equipment in plant including, but not limited to: routine maintenance, preventive maintenance equipment rebuild, material handling, crushing, screening, pneumatic, hydraulic, and pumping systems.
- Operates cutting torch and welding equipment to cut and/or join metal components.
- Prepares, assembles, and installs new equipment.
- Dismantles machinery to repair or replace defective parts.
- Perform basic electrical troubleshooting skills and repair of production machines including 480 VAC 3 phase, 240 VAC 3 phase motor control circuits.
- Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
- Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance actions, following checklists.
- Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
- Assemble, install and/or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing,
- machinery, and equipment.
- Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Order parts, supplies, and equipment from catalogs and suppliers, or obtain them from storerooms.

• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions.
• Record maintenance and repair work performed and the costs of the work.
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
• Plan and Client out repair work using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, and schematic diagrams.
• Order parts, supplies, and equipment from catalogs and suppliers, or obtain them from storerooms.
• Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments, using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
• Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
• Align and balance new equipment after installation.
• Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
• Set up and operate machine tools to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools.

Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED):
Required: Work Equivalent Experience: 3 plus years of experience in Electro-Mechanical Repair Computer Skills:
Basic computer skills required.
Experience with preventative maintenance software program preferred Certifications & Licenses:
Technical certifications in welding, pipe-fitting, and general motor repair will be preferred Other Requirements:
Experience with conveyors, belt drives, belt replacement is required. Fork lift maintenace experience preferred. Demonstrated Electrical and Mechanical aptitude. Hands-on experience is required for this job.
