Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying primer to all metal pieces using air spray tools, preparing steel for paint by scrubbing it with steel brushes, applying adhesive paint by hand, and taping/masking specific areas. Additionally, the role involves operating various sit-down forklifts, receiving new steel for welders, setting up pallets, palletizing finished products, and assisting with inventory counts.
Responsibilities
+ Apply primer to all metal pieces using air spray tools.
+ Prepare steel for paint by scrubbing with steel brushes, applying adhesive paint by hand, and taping/masking specific areas.
+ Operate a variety of sit-down forklifts through the yard.
+ Receive new steel for welders and prepare it for the welding department.
+ Set up pallets in the yard for the intake area.
+ Palletize finished products for outgoing shipments.
+ Assist in inventory counts.
+ Lay out all finished products in the paint area by hand, forklift, or hoist.
+ Provide assistance in any area as needed once primary duties are completed.

Work Environment
The work primarily takes place in the production area with frequent opening and closing of bay doors to the outside. The majority of the work will be outside, so candidates need to dress according to the elements. All candidates must wear steel-toe boots, pants, and it is recommended to wear a long-sleeve shirt.
