Industrial Painter – 2nd Shift
Shift: 4:30 PM – 3:00 AM, Monday – Thursday | Overtime Available

We’re looking for skilled Industrial Painters experienced in working with pipes, valves, I-beams, and other complex components. What You’ll Tackle:

Surface Prep & Masking:
- Use duct tape, blast tape, and covers to prep flanges, pipes, and valves.
- Assist in prepping materials for blasting in our 65' x 25' blast booth.

Blasting Operations:
- Perform media blasting with steel grit or shot, achieving precise blast profiles per NACE standards.
- Support a shared workload, ensuring smooth transitions from blasting to painting.

Precision Painting & Coatings:
- Apply 1-3 part paints (e.g., zinc primers, epoxies, urethanes) in multi-coat systems—up to 4 coats for certain projects.
- Handle both above-ground coatings and specialized below-ground coatings like SPC-2888 or Denso Portal 7200.

Quality Control:
- Use wet and dry film thickness gauges to confirm coatings meet NACE specs and customer expectations.
- Ensure every coating meets the required visual and technical standards through rigorous testing.

Equipment Handling:
- Operate spray pots, plural component units, overhead cranes, and forklifts to safely move and coat large equipment.

Teamwork & Flexibility:
- Contribute across different stages—from blasting to painting to material handling—to get the job done efficiently.
What You Bring:

Proven Industrial Painting Experience:
- Expertise in working with pipes, valves, and other large equipment in industrial environments.

Blasting Proficiency:
- Hands-on experience with steel grit/shot blasting and preparing materials for paint.

NACE Standards Knowledge:
- Familiarity with film thickness gauges, blast profiles, and the ability to meet customer specs.

Spray Equipment Expertise:
- Ability to operate spray pots, plural component units, forklifts, and overhead cranes.

Test-Ready:
- Must pass a paint test, including visual inspection and dry film thickness checks.
