Job Summary:
The Plant Manager is responsible for the product realization for all lifting equipment manufactured in the Victorville, CA facility as well as all supporting operations in the Anaheim office. The Plant Manager oversees all staff members and day-to-day operations in the assigned branch location(s), ensuring delivery of quality customer service and achievement of sales, operational, and profitability goals.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversees and participates in the recruitment, hiring, and training of fabrication personnel including fabrication team members, and support staff.
- Conducts performance evaluation process that increases individual and team performance, builds bench strength, and retains top talent.
- Communicates effectively in individual and group settings, providing regular coaching and feedback to build a high-performance team.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Leads the cross-fuctional team from Purchase Order to Delivery of all custom engineered fabricated crane systems and OEM distributed products.
- Partners with local sales and service leaders to ensure an excellent customer experience through the entire delivery and field installation process as well as after sale inspection and service.
- Works with the Regional Sales and Service Managers to develop the annual branch budget. and leads fabrication execution to achieve the sales and profitability targets.
- Leads engineering, project management, and fabrication team in project tracking to ensure financial goals are met and customer satisfaction achieved.
- Leads by example to ensure a healthy and safe working culture is achieved, as well as compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Creates a high-performance culture through servant leadership and relentlessly driving continuous improvement throughout the entire organization.
- Delivers reports to executive team members as requested.
- Supervises equipment purchase and maintenance.
- Conducts regular staff meetings to ensure that goals and objectives are clearly communicated with staff; provides guidance and leadership to enable staff to meet these goals and objectives.
- Identifies training needs and opportunities; develops and implements a plan for meeting those needs.
- Maintains and develops positive relationships with existing and prospective clients, demonstrating excellent customer service and setting an example for other staff.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Adept at analyzing and explaining a manufacturing P&L.
- Excellent leadership and management skills.
- Excellent informal sales, customer service, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, delegating when appropriate.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Experience:
- 5 years P&L leadership in industrial manufacturing / fabrication and field service.
- Experience with multiple, simultaneous custom engineered projects and project management.
- Responsibility over engineering and project management disciplines.
- Multi-site responsibility.
- Crane experience is beneficial, but not required.
