TGC Search is partnered with a Waukesha WI based Food Manufacturing company looking for their next Industrial Project Engineer!
Are you a dynamic Project Engineer with a passion for leading capital projects and optimizing manufacturing processes? We are seeking a talented individual to oversee our facility's projects from inception to completion. This role involves budgeting, vendor negotiation, and managing deliverables while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage capital project execution, including budgeting and financial justification.
- Negotiate equipment purchases and service contracts, managing vendors and contractors to ensure timely delivery.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, collaborating with maintenance, quality, and operations teams to upgrade processes and integrate automation and technology.
- Develop efficient manufacturing methods, optimize floor space, and ensure ergonomic workstation design.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, track costs, and analyze operations for cost-justified improvements.
- Identify and qualify vendors, obtain competitive bids, and monitor vendor performance for safety, quality, and productivity.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, coordinating communication between all stakeholders.
- Perform factory acceptance tests, commissioning, and new process start-ups.
- Plan and direct activities related to the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical, or related engineering/technology discipline.
- At least three years of engineering or project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex topics clearly and engage in discussions.
- Strong technical skills in project management and engineering methodologies.
- Optimistic attitude with a problem-solving mindset.
Preferred:
- Five years of experience in a food manufacturing environment.
- Strong foundation in process design.
- Familiarity with Lean concepts, AutoCAD, and MS Project.
