Must hold a National CDA or FCCPC (Florida Child Care Professional Certificate) or enroll in a certification or AS in early child development and education.
Works with children ages birth to 3 years.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Provides infants and toddlers with experiences and opportunities that allow for the development of curiosity, initiative, problem-solving, and creativity, as well as a sense of self and a feeling of belonging to a group.
MAJOR FUNCTION: The threefold primary function of the Infant and Toddler Teacher I includes the following:
Child Growth Plan - To ensure the systematic implementation of individualized educational care plans for children based on identified performance standards, established learning outcomes, and family-based plans.
Developmental Screenings and Assessments - To ensure the timely completion, implementation, and reporting of required developmental screenings, assessments, and individualized educational plans to include family planning response.
Implementation of Curriculum Requirements - To ensure the systematic implementation of designated research-based curriculum as defined by the curriculum
