Compensation: $89,000 - $115,000/year
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Responsibilities as the Infection Preventionist (RN):

Responsibilities as the Infection Preventionist (RN):
- Policy Development: Develop and maintain infection prevention policies and procedures that comply with regulatory agencies.
- Surveillance Activities: Perform infection prevention surveillance at the hospital and outpatient settings.
- Patient Care: Assist the healthcare team with the care of infected patients, including isolation procedures.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Employee Health on programs for influenza vaccination and tuberculosis screening.
- Education and Recommendations: Provide information, education, and recommendations to prevent the spread of infection among patients, visitors, healthcare workers, and the community.
- Hand Hygiene and Control Evaluation: Round on acute units and ambulatory areas to evaluate hand hygiene and infection control practices.
- Infection Surveillance: Review labs and suspected hospital-acquired infections, report and record required items for the state health department.
- Consultation: Act as a consultant for infection prevention throughout the hospital as requested.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN).
- Certification: Certification in Infection Control (CIC).
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience, with at least 2 years working as an Infection Prevention RN in an acute hospital of similar size.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with other clinicians and providers in acute and ambulatory settings.
