Title: Info Security Specialist III
Location: Chicago, IL

Duties:
- Strong Development background in one or more of the following (Java, NodeJs, Python, C or .NET)
- Previous support engineering experience (preferably at Voltage, Protegrity or SecuPi)
- Cloud and containers experience (GCP preferred, but either AWS or Azure is sufficient)
- Communication skills as they will be interacting with technical dev teams as well as leadership teams.
- A good outgoing personality is key for this role
- Technical documentation and articulation.
- Experience with Confluence and Jira
- Professional services experience within a data protection domain
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines: Validates, authorizes, and implements requests for user access adds, changes, and deletes.Works with internal customers to identify and resolve special requests for nonstandard or urgent access.Works with internal customers to identify resource requirements and set completion targets.Works with internal customers in developing solutions impacting security (e.g. server moves, server cleanups, system changes such as upgrades to new operating systems, etc.). Documents information security processes.Works on special projects such as new designs and system rollouts. Stays up to date on trends and developments within functional area of expertise and the insurance industry.

1. In-depth knowledge of NT, Novell, mainframe, ACF/2, UNIX, Windows 2000, etc.
2. Strong interpersonal, communication and consultative skills to work effectively with internal business partners and IT staff.
3. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
4. Ability to make independent judgements and make sound business decisions.
5. Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and other business related software systems.
Education: Education and Experience

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
2. TYpically a minimum of four years experience in security aspects of multiple platforms, operating systems, software communications and network protocols.
3. Previous help desk experience desirable.
4. Applicable certifications preferred.
