Community Coordination handles direct case management services to clients currently at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Line who live in Boston, Malden, Medford, and Everett. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for customers calling in or visitors arriving at the ABCD Central Office.
- Facilitate connecting these callers/visitors to onsite staff, and is responsible for ensuring that all callers and visitors receive accurate and timely information while maintaining safety standards.
- Provide warm and welcoming reception for all callers and visitors to the Central Office.
- Inform visitors of safety measures and provide protective equipment, as needed.
- Provide visitors with appropriate referrals to all ABCD programs and services and information on required program protocols.
- Develop and maintain working knowledge of all ABCD programs and services.
- Work with departments to maintain up to date information on services to be provided to visitors.
- Direct visitor traffic to the appropriate waiting room and inform receiving staff of their arrival.
- Maintain a detailed log of all visitors entering the building and the departments to which they were referred.
- Maintain and provide up to date information on how clients can access program information and services.
- Identify needs and make recommendations on how to improve processes and/or information sharing to improve customer interaction.
- Assist with miscellaneous administrative tasks.
- Perform other related duties as assigned from time to time.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- A minimum of a high school diploma and at least one to three years of relevant experience working in administrative or customer service environment required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse educational, socio-economic, and cultural backgrounds.
- Bilingual skill in Spanish is preferred.
