We are currently seeking an IT Intern for the year (June 2025 – May 2026). This part time position works for approximately 20 hours per week.
Responsibilities: This internship will support multiple projects in IT Risk & Security Governance. Partnering with team members, the intern will gain experience and be assigned projects that include the following:
· Review alerts to determine impact to systems and employees and perform response tasks
· Perform analysis of a variety of data sets to investigate potentially malicious activity
· Review threat material to determine impact and actions
· Work closely with IT staff to work active incidents through to closure
· Review daily reports of phishing emails/locked accounts/potentially malicious activity
Education/Experience:
The ideal candidate will be able to plan, organize and communicate well; be results-driven and have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects. Ability to work independently is necessary for success, along with working collaboratively with all levels of the IT team and cross-functional business leaders.
Key skills required for the assignment are the ability to generate ideas, analyze an issue, problem-solve; and demonstrate learning agility and innovate thinking.
Qualified candidates must currently be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program (Junior or Senior) with coursework or have a strong background in the fields of Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems (or related fields).
Prior experience in a corporate business environment is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) is required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and time management skills are essential.
