Job Duties

The duties of an Information Security Compliance Analyst include, but are not limited to:

• To ensure data security and maintain information security regulatory compliance for statewide information technology functions;
• Performs highly complex tasks in support of statewide information security protocols.
• Conducts highly complex internal, state, and federal information security reviews in support of statewide information security protocols;
• Assists business process owners in OTS and in other agencies with corrective actions resulting from information security reviews by performing highly complex tasks in support of statewide information security protocols;
• Assists in updating OTS information security policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines per industry standards by performing highly complex tasks in support of statewide information security protocols;
• Monitors reports, systems, logs, and alerts for suspicious activity in order to ensure information security. Resolves highly complex escalation requests. When needed, coordinates with other OTS personnel to resolve security concerns;
• Installs security measures and operates software, including firewalls and data encryption programs, to protect highly complex information systems and infrastructure;
• Supports information security regulatory compliance for federal tax information, protected health information, personally identifiable information, payment card information, criminal justice information systems, family educational rights and privacy, etc. by performing highly complex tasks in support of statewide information security protocols.
