Responsibilities :
- Lead or participate in computer security incident response activities for complex events.
- Conduct investigations of technical security incidents to identify causes, mitigate issues, and recommend future solutions. Design, document, test, maintain, and provide resolution recommendations to issues related to networking, cryptography, cloud, authentication, directory services, email, internet, applications, and endpoint security.
- Function as a security consultant for internal clients to ensure compliance with information, security, and standards. Review and correct security logs.
- Utilize skillset and industry knowledge to implement best practices for information security issues such as integrity, confidentiality, risk management, threat identification, modeling, monitoring, incident response, access management, and business continuity.
- Identify vulnerabilities and issues, perform risk assessments, and evaluate remediation alternatives while collaborating with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve.
- Develop mainframe security solutions leveraging RACF, REXX, zSecure, CARLa and other tools
- 5+ years of Information Security Engineering experience or equivalent and relevant experience through the following: work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- 5+ years of mainframe security risk assessment and remediation experience using native z/OS 2.1 and above
- 5+ years of hands-on Resource Access Control Facility (RACF) and experience issuing (RACF) commands along with performing diagnosis
- 5+ years experience with at least current and supported version (z/OS 2.1 and above)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- RACF, REXX, zSecure, CARLa, and similar tools.
- z/OS 2.1 and above
Preferred Skills:
- 5+ years of JCL (Job Language Control
- 5+ years of TSO (Time Sharing Options)
- 5+ years REXX and Carla
- zSecure
- Advanced information security technical skills and understanding of information security practices and plicy
