Information Security - Engineering Intern, Summer 2025 - United States
This role is not eligible for Mastercard’s work authorization sponsorship. About the Team
Mastercard's Information Security teams monitor system security and compliance, develop, deliver, maintain and monitors IT security policies, standards, and best practices. Implement security monitoring procedures, performs security related incident response and investigations. The teams also oversee compliance and the implementation of disaster recovery procedures. Not an engineer? No worries! Our Corporate Security team looks for people with a variety of backgrounds including business, program/project management and analytics in addition to engineering.
Internship Program

Role Description
As an Information Security Engineer Intern, you will be involved with:

Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree, or accelerated master's program, majoring in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related field with a graduation date of December 2025 or beyond
- Less than 1 year of experience
- Exposure to security, including network and internet systems security
- Strong communication skills
- Some experience in technical skills (i.e code development, platform management, sys admin, etc..) is a plus
- Understanding of security services (authentication, vulnerability management, security log monitoring) is a plus
